Compliance Update Regarding Product Inspection Report (Ref: AF-P010)

On May, 2025, we received a notification from UK Customs concerning a batch of 229 units inspected under report number C111151b LVD, issued by Cass Industries Ltd. on April 29, 2025.
The report identified five non-compliance issues under the Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016, as detailed below:

Inspection Findings

  1. The product did not comply with Part 2, Section 8(1)(b)(ii) of the Regulations — the manufacturer’s postal address was not indicated on the product body, packaging, or accompanying documents.

  2. The product did not comply with Part 2, Section 9(1) — it lacked adequate instructions and safety information required by standard specifications.

  3. The product did not display the importer’s name, trade name, or registered trademark, as required under Part 2, Section 18(1)(a).

  4. The product did not meet the requirements of Part 2, Section 18(1)(b) — the importer’s postal address was missing.
    Note: The UK Authorised Representative label stated “We act only as the UK representative of the cross-border seller and are not the manufacturer, importer, or distributor.”

  5. The product did not comply with Schedule 1, Section 1(a) — the AC socket lacked sufficient safety information, failing to inform users that it should only be connected via the supplied C13 power cable to a BS 1363 socket, or used with unearthed devices.

Corrective Actions

We have since completed a full rectification plan, including label and documentation updates:

  • Instruction manual: now includes a safety and compliance declaration (Figure 1).

  • Product base: added labels displaying the UK and EU authorised representatives, as well as manufacturer contact details (Figure 2).

  • AC output socket: now carries a clear safety warning label (Figure 3).

Compliance Certification

All issues have been resolved. Our product is certified compliant under CE-LVD safety regulations:

  • Test Report No.: BTEK250807034A01S01 (issued by Shenzhen BANTEK Testing Co., Ltd., a CNAS-accredited laboratory)

  • Certificate No.: M.2025.206.C126767 (issued by NB Body: UDEM Uluslararasl Belgelendime Denetim Egitim Merkezi San. ve Tic. A.S.)
